Our New Home,,

We (finally) moved into our new home! Unfortunately we cant have all of you over since it is in AZ. So we decided to put up a few pictures. Here it goes!!
This is the front, I really wanted embrace an AZ style home

This is the kitchen (and you can see the dining nook), it is my fave room in the house.
There is no pic of traces fave room. He likes the garage. We have one normal size 2 car garage, and a separate single wide but 2 car deep garage.

Master Bathroom, shower is across room from tub and is about that length... with a bench! (yay for shaving legs!)

Master Bedroom, its huge, and decor wise I'm overwhelmed :)
Oh if you haven't noticed i have not hung a single thing on my walls yet... still to come ;)

At the top of our stairs, is a loft. The girls love having all their toys out of the storage unit.

One last thing... we do have a guest room and would love some guests! So anyone who wants to come visit, just call us!

Bridal Shower

A few weekends ago my mom, sister, and I hosted a bridal shower for my cousin Haley. We had such a great time planning and putting everything together. We went with a tea party theme, like Alice in Wonderland. Bright, whimsical and we were even able to use real teacups! (thanks to everyone who allowed us to borrow them!) for refreshments we did small things like dollar sandwiches, fruit, a salad ect. but my favorite part was these little cheese cakes (my moms idea). Not your normal cheese cake; they were cut into squares, put on sticks, dipped in chocolate, and decorated. If I may say so myself, they turned out so cute! (you can see them in the picture we placed them in the large teacups).

Madison Larsen

We have had so many wonderful thing happen to us lately, it has been very busy. The very most exciting thing for us has been the birth of our baby girl, Madison. It is quite a story, on May 25th Trace's brother got married. The whole day we laughed about how funny it would be if i went into labor ect.. I was going to extremes to put myself into labor at that point, for example i walked around the Logan temple with one foot on the curb and the other on the road (Trace wouldn't be seen with me doing that so he drove around and let me know how ridiculous i looked!). I was very disappointed when at the end of the reception i was still feeling great, after such a long day I had expected to at least feel a contraction, or something! No luck. However a few miles and just moments after leaving the reception my water broke. I was stunned. Thankfully my sister in law was not far ahead of us and was kind enough to stop and let us borrow her camera. The nurse at the hospital found Trace some pajama pants so he didn't have to spend the night in his suit. It all worked out great. Madison was born 14 days early at 7 lbs 10 oz, 21 in long. She is healthy and a good baby. We did find out that her blood had my antigens trying to kill her red blood cells (causing jaundice). Thankfully it has not been a big deal, she has pulled through remarkably well. Quincy Gibson was kind enough to come to our home and take the sweetest pics of Madison, she did such an awesome job!

A moment to brag...

Your probably thinking about Kenzie!?!? not again!!! But this time i want to post a little about Trace. I would like to tell all that after many nights of his "i'm a failure" speeches, he has proved him self wrong about that again! Not only is he a wonderful husband and father, but on Sat he will be graduating with his bachelors in chemistry. It has been such a long road, and i am so proud of him! He will be continuing school at the U of U for his Masters in Chemical Engineering. Which leads me to another thing about him, He just got an internship at Rio Tinto! (which is bitter sweet, we love all our friends in logan but are so excited to move on and back home to SLC!). His birthday is on the 11th too, Happy Birthday!! I love you Trace!! (pic is of Trace and Kenzie feeding ducks over spring break)

Happy Late Halloween!!!

Well this is very very late to be posting pics of my little bugs Halloween costume, but, well i couldn't forget to put this up. I think shes pretty cute, and was way excited about it. She was a Lady bug this year, and i think she had a blast for her first Halloween! Trace was on call (luckily didn't get called in) so we had to stay close this year. We went trick or treating which was lost on Kenzie but she loved the attention and her candy has been yummy. She particularly enjoyed assisting in carving the pumpkins, which mostly included her trying to eat raw pumpkin. Well as for since Halloween not much else is going on, just normal life. Tomorrow is the JJcole sale, super excited! -hope its as good as last year!

We're still alive

So, I don't really take time to update this, that is why there's not much on here. However I decided to do a quick update, although my guess is nobody will really notice.

There has been a lot that has happened since the middle of Aug. The biggest thing is starting school again. The only good part about that is it is the last time I will be able to say that (knock on wood), at least for my undergrad. The worst part about being back in school is in between work, school, and church for myself and work for Aub we figure we see each other for a total of about 2 hours from Sat. afternoon until Friday evening, once again we have split custody of Kenzie. Aubrey gets her during the week and I get her on Fri., Sat., and Sun. afternoon and evenings. They say going to school is worth it, THEY BETTER BE RIGHT!!

The queen of the house started crawling, as you can see above, right after we got home from Bear Lake, thanks to seeing all the other kids she couldn't be left out. The crawling wasn't to bad however she has learned that she loves going up the stairs, I've even taught her how to come down (crawl up, the straighten you legs and body and slide down on you belly, she thinks that is the best part- oh the things parents never let you do growing up, we just have to teach our kids to do them and let them enjoy for us!). However there are something you don't want to teach you kids, What are we doing teaching bad habits like this?!?!

We also took a long weekend and headed up to the Cabin to relax and enjoy the mountain air, Kenzie enjoyed being up there, most of the time. The crib up there is a little different, I think she felt like she was in prison.

Summer Fun!!

Trace is out of school for the summer!!! I am so excited to have him around a little more. He only has 3 weeks off so we are trying to pack as much summer fun in as possible.
Last Week we went to Bear Lake with Trace's family. It was such a good time, boating and hanging out in the sun is our favorite thing to do! Kenzie absolutely loved it! She came home with lots of new tricks she learned from watching her cousins like, the army crawl, pulling self up on things, and she talks a lot more now too! She thought the other kids were so funny and they seemed to think she was alright too. Another great thing that happened on vacation is that Kenzie got more used to Trace, she doesn't scream so much when he is holding her and I'm not around! (She is such a mommys girl right now but this improvement makes everyone happier:))
